Using your Class Boost from BfAAug. 20, 2018
" On the character-creation screen, players who have the World of Warcraft: Battle for Azeroth expansion can now create and play a level-110 “Class Trial” character with a preset class specialization. You’ll take this character through a tutorial experience and get a chance to play through the Siege of Lordaeron event, gain your new Artifact neck piece—the Heart of Azeroth—from Speaker Magni, and experience the introductions to Kul Tiras for Alliance characters or Zandalar for Horde characters. After that, if you’d like to play the class further, just apply a level-110 character boost to continue your adventure. "
Using a character boost included in an expansion pack is undoubtedly one of the hardest things to do in a new release. The choice is made harder when a new race for each faction is introduced, it's even harder when there are more than one. The fact that not all the playable races are unlocked at launch makes the decision tougher again. Do you boost a class you haven't played yet? Do you boost one you have but on another faction or realm? Do you wait until the new races are available and then boost? If you do, you would miss out on the heritage armor, argh! If you do want to boost one of the races that isn't available yet, how long do you have to wait for them to be launched? There's a lot of things that run through your mind when it comes to making this decision.
At a minimum I highly suggest trying each potential choice's class trial. As stated above, you can now play through the Siege of Lordaeron and experience the introductions to Kul Tiras for Alliance characters or Zandalar for Horde characters. It doesn't need to stop there though, you can watch some players streaming on twitch or youtube, have a read through a few posts on the class forums to see what other players thoughts are. When you do use your boost, you want to make sure it was a wise decision. The last thing you want is to have that character staring at you on the login screen, sitting there in questing greens, judging you, asking why you didn't learn anything from the last time...
Boosted class trials do NOT come with a level 3 WoD garrison. I was hoping they would, but no, nothing extra, just a boosted character.
